Perception Workbook

I mentioned in my Convocation review that I was inspired to work on a Perception Workbook. Well, you shouldn't be surprised that it is already underway. The goal of the workbook is to help develop psychic impressions in a manner that is comfortable for most people just starting out. I firmly believe that what I do is not unique to me and that with plenty of practice, anyone can develop their impressions to the point of it being more than a wiggle in the brain but good information to be used.

That being said, my methods in the workbook are broad and do not focus on one type of perception but umbrella in an attempt to capture all avenues of subtle input. The exercises are there to give some structure to the process and help build up a pile of experiences to which patterns can be discovered. I'll be honest, it wasn't until after I began to notice patterns in my work that I realized I was truly picking up on information. The more I work at this, the more patterns I spot and the deeper my journey goes. It can be the same for anyone wishing to give this sort of perception a shot.

The workbook has roughly ten exercises with some information in the beginning covering various perceptions and methods to help get you into a good state to interpret things coming to your mind. I also highly suggest doing some self quiet practices at home so that you know your own personal baseline, or the images and feelings that come to you naturally within your space. It helps to start defining what is you and what is other. More of that in the workbook of course! I am just so excited to share my experiences and methods that helped me.

Convocation 2018

This was my first year attending at Convocation up in Michigan and also my first year teaching. Nothing like jumping in feet first, right? Embracing metaphorical buses and what have you! All the pre con anxiety aside, I had an absolutely amazing time. I met some wonderful people, came across new and brilliant information, and even found myself making connections and contacts with people that I could begin to work along side in my endeavors to share the perceptive arts. The con was well put together, organized, and loaded with interesting and divergent points of view. That alone makes for great conversations when so many people work with so many unique paths. It was a creative and inspiring atmosphere for sure.

So how did hopping into Convocation happen? I blame Michelle Belanger. Lovingly blame.

We taught two classes. One class was was on Psychic Language and developing it, which is a huge passion of mine. This class focused on various ways to define your language and hone the skill. We brought up a couple of people to have the class sense them and give their impressions and I was stunned at the accuracy of our group. The class was phenomenal and quite talented. It inspired me to begin work on a Perception Workbook which I am aiming to have available at Gather 2018 in Oberlin, Ohio.

Our second class was a group class going over the Counselor Caste of House Kheperu, the spiritual group founded by Michelle Belanger and who host House Kheperu Gather. The counselor caste and the caste system of the house is a unique take on energy work and while I am not a dedicant to the house, I have experience with their system. Should you want to know more about the House and its methods, feel free to visit their website kheperu.org and see their upcoming events. The class went well enough and while we had a bit of a medical emergency mid class, it actually helped illustrate exactly the role of counselors in handling intense emotional energy. Not only that, but Elyria Little came forward to facilitate the small hands on ritual to even out everyone's emotions and did such an amazing job that I am still personally reeling from it.

I'm fairly certain that I will be attending this convention in the future and also certain to be submitting a few class ideas once more. If you have any classes you would like me to cover, feel free to contact me with your suggestions.
